Dance Studios Schools & Halls The President of Generations Performing Arts is ANGIE HAVER Business classifications
SIC (US 1987) : Our Performing Arts Ensemble consists of approximately 150 students ages 7 - 18 who enjoy performing and dancing on a more regular basis. They train between 4 and 20 hours per week and some are hoping to pursue a career in dance someday. Many, however, have learned that the discipline, organizational skills, and team oriented approach they learn through participation in a group of this sort will help them as they grow into adults through other jobs and activities. The confidence and skill they develop through the performances can be a blessing to them throughout their lives. If you think this might be an opportunity you would like to be a part of, please contact Angie at or.
You will find these students performing throughout the community all year long, including in our Christmas show and 4th of July show. They also perform at most of Uptown's 4th Friday events, including our competition preview performed annually at October's Midnight Madness. They perform for many charity events and nursing homes as well! Look for them throughout the community performing for various events throughout the year!
Our high school students run the Generations Leadership Council, in which they host several babysitting events and collect for persons in need at Christmas, among other things! Every year, one or more seniors that actively participate in the leadership council receives a college scholarship from the proceeds raised at each of these events! We are very proud of these girls for their helpful hearts and attitudes.
Our Performing Arts Ensemble also has a Big Sis/Lil Sis/Bro program in which an older dancer is paired up with a younger dancer to 'teach them the ropes' and be a friendly and encouraging figure for the dancer throughout the year.
We host many master teachers throughout the year, and travel to take classes from professionals as well! We typically will host a summer intensive where many of our dancers learn new pieces in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and modern to put on a performance at the end of the week for their families and friends that is taught by professionals that we bring in from places such as Chicago and New York! We have also had many master classes taught by actors/actresses that are appearing in the Broadway Across America productions.
